Angelina Jolie and her children have racked up the frequent-flyer miles over the years, both for film shoots across the globe (for her films and Brad Pitt's), their humanitarian efforts and their clear love of traveling. At the premiere of her latest flick, "The Tourist," which she shot in Europe, Jolie said bringing them along is fun for everyone.
"Fortunately, we've given them a love of discovering new places and new people and new cultures," she said. "And they like to pack their bags and have new adventures."
In the sexy spy thriller, she plays an English woman who uses an American tourist (Johnny Depp) to help find her fugitive former lover. But it sounds like her little ones made for a lighthearted time on set. "It's always fun to have my family on set," she explained. "I think it wouldn't be the same without them. They get to come and laugh at mommy for playing dress-up and having a funny accent."
At the premiere, Jolie also talked about the other perks of making the movie. "I liked that she was a real lady, a real European lady, and I've never played that before. I thought it was a challenge for me to be a girl, a real girly girl," she said. "Living in Italy for a few months was pretty hard to resist. And I've been dying to work with [director] Florian [Henckel von Donnersmarck], and I've always wanted to work with Johnny and never met him, so it was great. Everything was great about this project."
