Police search Charlie Sheen's home for firearms
07:36 AM
Good morning. More on that police raid of Charlie Sheen's house:
LAPD officers went to Sheen's house in Beverly Hills to look into a possible violation of Brooke Mueller's temporary restraining order. "It came to the attention of the LAPD that Sheen is the registered owner of firearms," the LAPD said in a statement, and conducted their investigation at Sheen's home "to determine if he is in possession of firearms and ammunition in violation of the [restraining order]."
They confiscated bullets and an antique gun said to be from the 1800s, but Sheen was not arrested or detained ? he, in fact, calmly ate dinner during the search, Sheen's lawyer Mark P. Gross said outside the home, reports People.com. With police still at the home, goddess Natalie Kenly downplayed the events, saying, "Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about."
What about that machete Sheen was waving on the rooftop? Isn't that a weapon? "It wasn't even my machete, that's what's so funny about it," Sheen said in an interview with RadarOnline taped before the raid. "Somehow the guy I was having a meeting with happened to have a machete on him and I thought, well that's brilliant! Great timing, there's like a rallying mob below me and these are my people, they're rooting for me."
Shortly after the police cleared out, Sheen tweeted,
"The LAPD were awesome. Absolute pros! They can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!"
Followed by:
"50 cops in my home. they all left. I'm still here. WINNING? 24/7 c"
Earlier Thursday, Sheen and Mueller reached a private custody agreement. "Brooke and Charlie have reached an agreement that resolves their differences," their attorneys said in a joint statement. Terms were not disclosed, and they asked for "privacy on this matter."
