Sammy Hagar -- Alien Expert Believes His Tale

Sammy Hagar's tale of alien abduction sounds pretty silly to the average person -- but to an alien expert ... it all makes perfect sense.

Sammy spilled it last week, telling the world he was abducted by aliens who "tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth."

Well Sandy Nichols, founder of the Alien Research Group (yeah that's a thing), tells TMZ he wants to work with Sammy to help him understand his abduction. Sandy claims he's also been abducted -- numerous times -- and says he "experienced something similar" to Hagar.

Nichols and some human friends discussed Hagar's tale ... and all agreed nothing in his story sounded like he was lying.

Believe.

Josh Duhamel's Beach Run for Japan Relief

With relief efforts in desperate need of more and more resources, Josh Duhamel led the way during a star-studded Japan relief charity beach run in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (March 27).

Joined by his Black Eyed Peas bride Stacy ?Fergie? Ferguson (who also happened to be celebrating her 36th birthday), the "Transformers" stud organized the Tokidoki Youth Relief Run after witnessing the devastation caused by an earthquake and tsunami hitting the country earlier this month.

As for the fundraising, all entrants were asked to pay $10 to participate with Duhamel calling on people of all ages to take part in the two-mile (3.2 kilometre) sprint to boost donations for the American Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.

Opting to join in on the proper cause were thousands of civilians along with "Glee" actress Dianna Agron and socialite sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton.

Taking to Twitter after the run, Duhamel happily wrote, "We did it! 4,000+ people pack the beach! The youth of LA mobilized & should be proud. All of u that donated should be proud. Much love..JD."

BET Host Shot and Killed in NYC

DJ Megatron -- a regular on the BET show "106th and Park" -- was shot and killed in Staten Island early Sunday morning.

Megatron -- real name Corey McGriff -- was shot around 2:00 AM, not far from his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He previously worked for hip-hop radio stations in Boston and Philadelphia, and most notably at New York City's HOT 97 station.

He was 32.
