Who Should Play Peeta in The Hunger Games Movies?

Now that Jennifer Lawrence has snagged the plum part of Katniss Everdeen in the post-apocalyptic saga The Hunger Games, who will play her fellow Games competitor and (possible) true love, Peeta?

As fans of the Suzanne Collins trilogy know, fiercely independent Katniss is at the heart of a love triangle with Peeta, a quietly courageous baker's son, and Gale, Katniss's childhood best friend and hunting partner. But when both Peeta and Katniss are forced to compete in the cruel Hunger Games, things between the two get especially complicated.

In the books, Peeta is described as having "ashy blond hair that falls in waves over his forehead," blue eyes and a muscular build from lifting huge bags of flour at his family's bakery. He is also a gifted artist who uses his talents to help charm a reluctant Katniss.

"He's good and nice in a world that's harsh and unkind," Lawrence, 20, tells Entertainment Weekly of her fondness for Peeta.

As for who should play him in the Hunger Games film, due in March 2012, a few young men immediately come to mind.

Josh Hutcherson, who showed quiet sensitivity in The Kids Are All Right; Hunter Parrish, who has the right fair-haired look and stars as Mary Louise Parker's son on Showtime's Weeds; Chord Overstreet, who is best known as Glee's blond-haired heartthrob; and Liam Hemsworth, the Aussie actor best known as Miley Cyrus's ex.
