Charlie Sheen: I Want a Public Trial!

Trying to take his "Two and a Half Men" fight even more public, Charlie Sheen filed papers requesting an open trial earlier today (March 23).

Charlie wants the public to decide the outcome of his $100 million lawsuit against Chuck Lorre and Warner Brothers rather than a closed-door arbitration.

The court documents state in part, "Plaintiffs will be forever deprived of their right to have the Court determine whether the dispute with Warner Bros. and Lorre may be arbitrated in the first instance, there is a substantial risk of inconsistent results since Plaintiffs' claims against Warner Bros. and Lorre are already the subject of the Sheen Lawsuit, the gist of the alleged claims by Warner Bros. and Lorre in the JAMS Arbitration is that Plaintiffs' claims in the Sheen Lawsuit should be arbitrated, and valuable resources, both judicial and of the parties, will be needlessly exhausted in connection with an invalid and improper arbitration proceeding."

Sheen recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of himself and the show's cast and crew - claiming the studio fired him when he was ill, a violation of state and federal law.
