Lady Gaga railed against critics who accuse her of being inauthentic in a new NME interview.

It seems hardly a coincidence that Lady Gaga wears next-to-nothing in NME's newest issue.

The "Born This Way" songstress, who can be seen clad in a sheer jumpsuit as she fondles herself on the U.K. music magazine's cover, insisted she's still the same talented artist when stripped bare of her elaborate costumes.

"Let me tell you something," Gaga said, according to the Daily Mail. "If you f---ing rip my hairbow and my wig off my f---ing head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will f---ing make you cry."

The singer added that she's "been probed endlessly about who the f--k" she is and yet "nobody seems to have a clue."

Perhaps consequently, she's found that a lot of people in the music business don't believe she writes her own songs.

"If you want me to be a manufactured act, you can f--k off," Gaga said.

The 25-year-old New York native added that she has no plans "to start churning out what you expect" or "to be something that isn't there."

"I am not that," she reportedly said. "I am not created."

Still, Gaga admitted that while many of her songs end up being chart-topping hits, she often finds herself feeling dissatisfied.

"I am perpetually unhappy with what I create," she told the mag. "Even though I might tell you that 'Edge Of Glory' is a pop masterpiece, when it's all said and finished, there will be things I dread, and every time I listen to it I'll hear them."
