Vanessa Hudgens says she doesn't ''need a guy'' to be happy and is ''embracing'' life as a single woman because she is relishing the chance to discover more about herself.
Vanessa Hudgens is "embracing" being single.
The 22-year-old actress - who split from her 'High School Musical' co-star Zac Efron in December after dating him for five years and has most recently been linked to Josh Hutcherson - doesn't "need a guy" to be happy and is enjoying discovering more about herself.
When asked if she is looking for a relationship, she said: "No, I'm really happy embracing this moment. Right now I feel so happy and I have so much going on, I don't necessarily need a guy.
Whether I'm single or not, this is an amazing time in my life. I'm a young woman and I'm exploring who I am.

However, the 'Beastly' star would like to fall in love again - but thinks it is more likely to happen if she doesn't try to find her 'Mr. Right'.
In an interview with LOOK magazine, she said: "Love comes when you're not looking, so I've decided I'm not going to look!"
When the pretty brunette does find another man, she hopes he'll have a good sense of humour and will be happy to join her on the dancefloor.
Describing her dream boyfriend, she said: "Someone who doesn't take himself too seriously, because I don't! A guy who makes the best out of every situation, is positive and a good dancer, because I need someone who will dance with me."
