?30 Rock? actor Alec Baldwin is reportedly considering a run to become mayor of New York City.
Alec Baldwin, who has previously spoken about wanting to get into politics, is now mulling over running for mayor of New York City now that Anthony Weiner is apparently out of the race.
Baldwin?s pal says that Weiner?s current internet cheating scandal has changed the possible candidates.� His friend said, ?Hey, maybe this changes the race. The dynamics have shifted.?
Alec recently confirmed that 2012 will be his last year on the comedy series ?30 Rock?, so he would be available for the 2013 campaign for mayor.
In a recent interview with Eliot Spitzer of CNN, Baldwin admitted he would be ?very interested? in running for office, saying, ?I do believe that people want to believe that someone who deeply cares about the middle class.would like to seek public office. We?ve had men, who are, regardless of their background.who are Ivy League.groomed.running this country since 1988. We?ve had 22 years of Yale and Harvard running this country right now, and the problems aren?t getting solved?.
