Fire heavily damages Trace Adkins' home

A fire heavily damaged country music star Trace Adkins' home Saturday, but no injuries were reported. Fire officials told The Tennessean that the home was a total loss.

Adkins' wife, Rhonda, told the paper that Adkins was en route to a fishing trip in Alaska. "He's gonna freak. He's probably gonna think I'm dead," she said as she watched firemen water down the ashes of the once beautiful home.

Adkins' two youngest children were home at the time of the fire, but escaped without injury.

Rhonda said she is glad that no one was hurt.

"You can replace things, not people. I'm just glad that my children are safe."
